The Department of Visual Communication Design is multi-disciplinary in nature and offers courses in the graphic design, filming, packaging design, printing design, editorial design, web design and multimedia design at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. From the beginning of design history, the human ability to communicate ideas, to design project, to solve complex problems, the curriculum have been embedded in human culture and central to personal growth.
At its most basic level, visual communication design is a creative process that combines with the visual arts and technology to communicate ideas. It begins with a message that, in the hands of a talented designer, is transformed into visual communication that transcends mere words and pictures. By controlling color, type, movement, symbols, and images, the visual communication designer creates and manages the production of visuals designed to inform, educate, and persuade a specific audience (target audience, TA).
